Racing to Freestyle Superjet - how

I have been looking for a SuperJet between ‘96 and 07 for the playful hull but the ones I am finding have been modified for racing. Is there things I should be on the lookout for when searching for a freestyle machine? Is there such thing as too much power? Are there easy low cost mods to bring them back to a freestyle ride. For example this ride plate does look like I could drift it on calm water.1660996502327.png

The only difference is the length at the rear end. A race boat needs to be as long as possible to prevent porpoising and a freestyle boat needs to be short. Your size and riding conditions will determine how short you can go. Engine and pump will be maximized for response. instead of peak speed. A race ported engine will work fine if you can get enough response out of it. Usually a larger nozzle and flatter impeller will do the trick.
