Do you have that start stop switch fastened to the handle bars with the plastic nipple inside the switch housing that fits in a hole drilled in the handle bars? I had mine mounted the exact same way and didnt want to drill the hole in the bars, after a couple times of the housing spinning it tore open the rubber switch housing and the salt killed it in 2-3 rides. Sucked big time those switches are not cheap. Just my .02

I put a piece of turf on the whole back of the switch so that didn't happen. Ad I don't drill any bars it makes a weak spot IMO
