Ramjet's Envy Build

The bottom has the 1 inch thick padding, the footholds have thinner strips of it glued and shaped with sandpaper. We shortened the footholds and shaped the foam down towards the front so your foot will wedge in it. I'm going to stay away from enclosed footholds, i twisted my knee last year.

I had Brian at thrust innovations take care of the anodizing, the ski's exterior is going to be black everything, (steering, levers, latches, etc) except for the red in the pics. Crappy cell phone pics dont really show the color its a real deep red

Alright, i made a motor decision. I'm going to run my favorite motor my 950cc66e. Ive had it for a few years and love the way it runs (when it runs). After running it in the octane, i knew some more things had to be changed to get it more reliable and running better.

Main issue was the pipe, there is no available pipe for the motor except the wdk steel pipe. While it fits in the hull, it never performed like an aftermarket pipe should. I got tired of waiting on the wdk new drypipe so I went my own route. The wdk manifold got modified to take the new baxter dry chamber. Now i have a drypipe for my 66e motor.

The reeds/intake manifold. As with the 62t motors the boyesen 3 stage reeds are the best performing IMO. I used the elbows off the wdk billet manifold and wb800blaster machined them to fit the gp1200r boyesen reed blocks. Manifold spacer is wdk, gets the reeds out of the way of the boost port. Upright carbs with perfect flow to the best reeds

Riva big bore heads. The riva big bore heads did not seal from day one. Orings would blow and water would always get in the cylinder. Brandon Reed cut me a new set of domes that move the oring groove and capture the oring completely in the dome. Riva original oring groove was half on the dome and half in the head and it place the oring right on the edge of the waterjacket.

Tiny fuel tank. Im going to run the little tank for a while, but I'm going to have a bigger aluminum one made to fit the fairly large area between the engine and the pipe. I want to make sure pipe works right before i spend the money on a custom tank.

Waterbox. I need a waterbox, i laid thread aluminum pieces in the back for mounts for a custom waterbox behind the carbs. I will run the baxter silencer first and switch back and forth to make sure my waterbox isnt power robbing. I cant have water running up my pipe into my motor anymore.

Pics of the pipe and motor mocked up to check clearences. No problems anywhere, lots of room in the sxr hull. I have a yamaha ada coupler on the motor and kawi ada coupler on the shaft. Pump is a kawasaki 144 set back skat mag.

these pics show how the manifold was modified. The wdk was modified to be exactly like the type 9 outlet and the boyesen gp1200r reed blocks were machined smooth and tapped to use the wdk billet elbows

It slowed down at work this week, looks like I'm going to have some time to get going on this again. Spent the afternoon fitting, gluing and shaping the pump shoe. Pump shoe is designed for a 140mm opening, had to open it up to fit the 144mm mag. Original Kawi pump shoe is hollow, so I had to fill it solid with resin because i had to completely grind away part of the pump shoe material to achieve a 144mm opening. Oem pump shoe and mag pump didn't just drop right in either, lots of sanding and fitting on the hull. . Same with intake grate, had to ground on it also. If i didnt have a grinder I wouldnt be able to put anything aftermarket together.

Also started putting together the handlepole assembly. Hope to get it installed tomorrow when I flip the ski back over
