Other RCW Brawler talk

Since there are very few out there so far, I figured I would make a place for those who demoed them to share your opinions. We have had a lot of calls and messages from people who really want to ride one first, this is understandable! Hopefully we will get a couple on the west coast soon. So let's hear what you have to say!

I was fortunate enough to try the one up here in Canada, and I must say I was more then impressed. Ski feels so small and light but does not ride nose high. The ski handles and slides very well and recoverys after a jump were very smooth and stable. Tray is a nice size and the footholds are comfy as well.
As for looks I would honestly say its one of the best looking a/m hulls out right now. The build quality looks nice as well and I was told everything bolted up straight and easily.
The price seems very fair and I think you guys will be very busy when a few more people get the chance to ride one.

Thoroughly impressed with this hull. It can definitely carve, but then on the flip side its very flickable. As mentioned above I really like the fact that its not a nose high ski as well, I was able to sub the ski within minutes of riding it. The quality of the boat is also way up there as well as the builders knowledge, & overall determination in getting customers input (ie this thread as well as in person). The only item I didn't find to my liking were the footholds, but that's a personal preference. I couldn't really lock fully into them like my pitted tray style. I would also really like to try this thing out in the surf

i also got a chance to ride the brawler up here in canada , and i must say the fit and finish on this ski are top notch ! could not get over the hull quality and the attention to detail . as for how it rides i loved it , it rides really light in the water and is very flickable and pops nice off a set up wave . best part as mentioned in previous 2 post it doesnt ride nose high the balance is perfect . i hoped on this ski once and felt like i was on it all summer . great job guys cant wait to place my order at the end of the month

I was diggin the hull for the short bit I got to ride it and couldn't help but envision my DASA 850 inside.

Great job guys... super clean, love the look and lines... one of the nicest AM hulls on the market!

My -2" 2010 superjet needs to go ASAP!!!!

alex sums it up well, you jump on this hull and its like you have always ridden it

its very well balanced

we have one here in ontario which has been tested ridden by a few guys now, three of which have commited to purchase

i know there are a few more interested also

build quality is great

the one we got in we asked for no inserts for the straps so we could place them ourselves, so there is a little extra work involved, in this case makes it not quite a drop in

fit and finish is over and above other hulls i have seen in the price bracket and its not a bi-polar ride like others

ours hull was around 95lbs as we asked for it to be built thicker, it jumps high off of the smallest wakes, probably the funnest (if thats a word) ride ive had on a ski in a while

the short hull, doesnt feel short and even with a short pole it doesnt make my back ache

I had a brief chance to ride the ski two weeks ago up in Canada,
I found the hull to be well balanced for its size, when i got on it my first thought was :):):):) this is short but it did not ride anymore nose high then my -2.5 sj, it had a very nice feel to it. It carved more aggressive then I was use to and i kept hitting my setup wakes early because of this. On my third or fourth attempt I finally hit one half decent and it definifly had some serious pop off a setup wake it felt just as high or higher then my superjet launching on its best attempts. I wasn't use to the footholds but with more padding I believe they will lock in just fine, could of been my style of shoe but I hate falling out of holds and like them tight. The ski was also very easy to get out of the water on, I honestly couldn't tell a difference between the brawler and my sj. Overall the fit and finish looked good to me, had some very nice lines and the tray felt huge. I can't wait to get some serious time on the hull to see what it will really do.

I got to try it out at Carolina beach and got on it with no problems right away, turns on a dime and doesn't ride nose high as i thought it would for being small. Even with a small 710cc motor it felt great. The footholds felt awesome compared to mine but I only rode it for a short bit and i loved it.

My wife really liked the hull, she said it was one of the easier to ride after market hulls she's ridden.
I really liked it as well, great fit and finish, and very flickable and easy to ride. A smidge too short for me, but hopefully I can get another ride with a longer ride plate. I was very surprised at how stable it was and how easy it was to turn, jump, create a set up wake, and carve with.
The only thing that took time getting used to was climbing back on after falling. I'm used to using my elbows on the high rails on a superjet to climb back on. haha

I also rode one up here in canada, i love the looks and build quality. I felt it was very predictable it pops off of small setup wakes. When you first jump on it looks so short but it feels very stable and recovers well from jumps. I like the tray width and the footholds i like but i would add a little more foam. Cant wait to get my hands on one!

Just wanted to take some time to thank Brian at SB Products. We got out new and improved motor mount inserts today. I'm still using my own motor for mockup but it ensures we get it right.

A few pics of improvements made to the hull. Billet motor mount inserts-

It has been a while, but I remember it being the most stable mini-hull I've ridden. I had fun on it for sure. (I am not a mini hull guy, so not going to pretend I know too much!)

Mainly interested in furthest front point (bondline presumably) to end of bottom deck.
Thanks Brian :)

72" nose to back of hull with no tail plate. ( The bottom of the chine, not the rear tray bond line ) Widest point is 23". Tail plate adds 5 inches on each side and 8" in the center (comes just to the tip of the steering nozzle)

This is a gen 1 length has not changed just the step in the hull for tail plate was added. You can see that in this pic..

And here is the final plug for the tail plate that we will be making the mold from this week.

The plate still needs some sanding and primer before we make another mold.
