I lost a tool box off the back of my truck a few weeks ago and have been looking for deals on wrenches, thankfully pretty much all I lost was some wrenches and a few ratchets.

I am getting a new set of wrenches and a set of extensions to replace what I lost.

One more item of interest if you are set up with Capitol1 shopping they pay 2.5% back when shopping at Sears versus the usual .05% , if you aren't signed up for Capitol 1 shoppin get one it, I get a small percentage back on every purchase I make from Ebay plus it automitically searches for any codes when you check out, it can save you a bunch of money.

I had a bunch of stuff to buy but when going to check out there was shipping charges added. =/

yeah i had a big 500+ mechanics tool kit added too and it increased shipping to 50+ dollars. When i took it away and just had the two torque wrenches and the tool bags it dropped to around 9 dollars.

I have a sears store about 50 miles from here, I had it sent there , we usually go through there once a month anyway, no shipping charges that way.

So I keep getting notifications about something being wrong with my order, the thing is when you go to sears.com there is no way to figure out anything or straighten anything out.
I called the customer service number, it tells you to go to sear.com, and hangs up on you , so I called the local store, they finally found my order using my phone number and said it will be in on the next truck but he doesn't know when that is going to be , he gives me another number to call and assures me someone will be there I can talk to, so I call that number and it says to go to sears.com and hangs up on you, luckily I am not at all in a hurry so I am just going to wait and see what happens at the local store.

I will say this I am definatly beginning to see why Sears is having issues and having to sell offf the company a piec at a time, their website is damn near unusable and their customer service sucks. This is why I buy most of my Craftsman tools at Lowes.

I think my issues were they don't really carry anything in stock at the store and from what I see on the website you can't fix an order if there is an issue. I reordered the wrenches and left off the extensions set, shipping was $9.00 , I just paid that much this morning tgo mail a car tag to my son that lives two hours away so I thing the shipping was fair, we will see how it goes.

It looks like Harbor freight is stepping up their game on their hand tools with their new Ikon series of tools they are debuting a SEMA this year. If those ratchets are not a direct rip off of Snapon I an not sure what is.

I’m sure they change something subtle like the metal composition used but many brands share the exact same shape and dimensions.

I have all Mastercraft Pro series wrenches that can be had on sale for $38/11 wrench set. Identical to Snap-On dimensionally but are noticeably lighter. Work just fine for the wrenching I do.

I met a MAC salesman once who wouldn’t shut up about how much better MAC was over Snap-On. I handed him my SO extractor set bought right off an SO truck. I guess that one extractor will out perform the rest then?
