Rear sponsons

Has anybody tried a set of rear sponsors on the FX1? I've installed a couple different sets. I pulled off of other skis to try it out and they seem to help quite a bit. Except for when I come out of a turn, it wants to straighten the ski up so fast that almost throws you out of the tray.

So far, the best ones ive tried 57598Care a set of C do XP like mid 90s style sponsors they're not very big. They're just a small curve and stall themong. The bond flange and I think I need to either move them forward or go with a different style. I've got tubbies already

Personally, I like the second one, above.

Prowatercraft keeps popping up as an option, I don't want too aggressive, this thing is already as squirlly as my 550. Here is a picture of the seafood sponsons which helped a lot but coming out of a turn it straightens up almost too quick

How about something you can adjust, so you can make them more or less aggressive

I called and talked to prowatercraft and "they said" moving them forward is less aggressive but I agree that moving them forward is going to do exactly what you said. Are yours adj forward and backwards or just up and down?
ours are adjustable backwards and forwards. you can adjust the turn in based on your fitness lvl
I run my ones far back as my fitness lvl dictates a slow turning ski lol

20 years ago I made and sold rear sponsons for the sxr. Basically the same design as the tbm jsu ot R$D. Only I made them out of hdpe from taps plastic. I also made them for kawi 650 and 750 but depending on the distance from the rail to the side of the hull was the determining factor on how effective they are. Sxr has a great distance so they work good. 750 and 650 not as well. The closer the rail, the more they need to hang down or angle out to catch water and aid in turning. I also put some on Koe's worlds finals winning superstock octane and it does handle and corner better for a crappy buoy rider like me. Rear sponsons will make any ski catch water and corner/handle better
