Jet Pilot are JUNK. Worst ones out there.
I use cheap MX glove that hold up great but I still get blisters.
Waterski gloves are the way to go, but same have a wicked curve to them that I dont like.

X1000 on the Jet Pilot. Horrible. Good for 2 hours of riding...maybe. You'd get more use out of a $1.99 pair of the crappy brown jersey work gloves. Slippery ones will last me two seasons. My SixSixOnes are holding up really well. But I'd have to agree on the waterski ones. My son has been wearing the same pair for 4 years and he finally wore a hole thru, and he rides hard and often. And there are waterski gloves available that aren't pre-bent.

I have tried a few different brands of jet ski specific gloves. They were all crap.

Just like the guys stated above, I've been using a pair of Mechanix gloves. They were less than $20 bucks and have held up better and longer than any of the others.

Yah I've pretty much given up on watercraft specific gloves costing $40-$60 when they don't last any longer (at best) as the $20 Autozone specials.

i had a pair of cheap fox gloves that lasted half of last season and would have lasted this season till i left them at the lake one day...they were cheap fox jobs that were like leather or something on the bottom... i spent 20ish dollars on them

My Jetpilot ones blisters my hands, my cheap-o no name gloves don't. I'd like to try the water ski gloves at one time.

I've been using a pair of Dakine mountain bike gloves, and they're on their second season holding up great. I spent ~$25 shipped from huckandroll.com They have a decent selection at good prices usually. I figure i'm using mountain bike grips, why not get the gloves to match? Mine even have a terry cloth spot on the back of the thumb to wipe my nose after a wipeout.

When it comes to Jet Pilot gloves a little clarification is needed. Jet Pilot actually makes the best riding gloves I've ever used. The fit great and the glove thickness is perfect. Unfortunately like everyone has already pointed out, Jet Pilot also has the WORST quality of any glove I've ever tried. They fall apart after only a few rides. If you get a pair that lasts six months then you scored. I bought a pair of Connely water ski gloves because I was frustrated at Jet Pilots quality. The quality and fit is great and I especially love the wrap around wrist strap but overall they're just to thick. If Connelly would make a thinner glove they'd have a winner.

My favorite are HO Tial 41's, but they are about $45 - $50 ish shipped. They wear awesome, but are a bit of a pain to get on in a hurry when you want to catch a big boat with your buds. But I have to say they will take great care of your hands. They are super tough gloves. I just picked up a $13 pair of Home Cheapo gloves to try out. Comfy, wrist strap, no insulation and may blow out in a weekend, but ya never know til ya try... Good luck!

I picked up a pair of HO Tail 41's over 3 years ago. The gloves are still fine but after letting a few friends wear them, they've gotten a little stretched and don't help me as much as they used to so they became everyone else's gloves in my boat when we ski and wakeboard. I used the sh*t out of those gloves!! Kevlar and Amara leather gloves from now on! I know I have a review of those gloves on here somewhere. If the ski companies start charging over $100 for a pair of gloves, I will still pay it just because they are that awesome. My only complaint with the 41 Tails was the palm strap. It's a double back design and if you take a hard fall, the velcro comes off and it's impossible to put it back in without stopping. The wrist strap is fine but most ski gloves have either a single strap that you can hammer back down or a secondary strap to the keep the palm strap in place.

When I demoted my 41 Tails, I decided on the new Radar Boa's (over your price limit). They have the kevlar and amara leather but the unique part is the straps or lack of them. They have the typical wrist strap but the palm cinching system is nylon coated stainless steel cable laced like a shoelace and ratcheted down with a quick twist of a dial. This means no chance of the gloves loosening up and your entire hand from knuckles to wrist is tight.

waterski gloves... 'nuff said.

Nice wriststraps for wrist support and back of the palm cinch to keep extra tight when wet. Most are kevlar, etc and will get a couple seasons plus some out of them. Anywhere from $35 to $60 will get you a decent pair.

And when ordering/buying gloves that will be getting wet, they need to be too small when tried on dry or they stretch out too much when wet. You want a glove to fit like... get this... a glove.

Those who recommend waterski gloves.. I purchased a pair of Obrien and I hated them. Way too thick, no good grip, not comfortable at all. I returned them with little taste of salt on them... I do not recommend these. Jetpilots are great for 2 weeks. Im still in search of the perfect gloves for our needs...
