SX/SXi/SXi Pro Recreational upgrades

I am taking the pump off my sxi to replace the steer cable and I am wondering if there is anything that is worth while putting on the ski to give it a little more umph without doing a whole lot of work. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Obviously check out the bearings and if you havnt changed impeller Id highly suggest it. Id say its in top three of my priority "to do" mods. Along with steering and exhaust.

Nevertheless, you dont really need to drop the pump to change the cable. Its tight but you can do it!

....thats what she said ;)

The SX models have a terrible Prop (Aluminum 14-18) But has a decent Nossle (80mm)
The SXi Pro has a decent Prop (Stainless 9-17) But a terrible Nossle (76mm)
Both benefit from a Stubby pump cone. thought I used a Box wrench when I replaced my Steering Cable.

Tried a stubby cone, It had a little better low end but wouldnt hook up as well in chop. It didnt keep enough water in the pump. Switched to a TBM stuffer/cone and love it. I also use a 12/18 with 5mm setback (you should look for a 9/17 big hub on a stock motor) and I switched from a bored stock nozzle to a 650sx nozzle.
Like others said, a impeller is one of the top mods, then steering plate and exhaust.

I have an all stock SXi Pro - what difference would you expect with adding just the TBM stuffer? Worth the $$?

I think its worth the money, Its adjustable for better thrust at high, mid, and low rpm so you can tune it to your ski. It will stay primed better since it takes a lot of space out of your pump and holds water better and its also a mod you wont have to change down the road. Its helpful at any power level since it make your stock pump function like a mag pump.

Factory pipe if you don't already have it.Def a lot of money, but way worth IMO.And impeller like said.I cant say for cones but a different intake grate or modded stock one to hook up better once you do get some good parts going .
