Red pipe dual cooling

I'm baffled on this. Everything is clear and flowing. I tied it to the dock while I ran it giving it good throttle with the hood open and watched my clear lines flow water. It ran cool tied to the dock but when I went 100 yards out and back at 3/4 to full throttle the pipe was hot right away. Should I be running a different intake grate or what? Any ideas?

If the pipe is clear then check the pump fitting for debris. Maybe it's flowing enough at idle but once under load it's not enough to keep the pipe cool.

Yea I will clean all my elbows. Maybe buy a worx intake grate cause I ride in a rough bay. Also going to route the head water line to the bottom of the pipe water jacket rather than the top. Will try this next weekend. Back to reality tomorrow.

I have close to the same setup as you with zero heat issues. The only difference is I have the T where your hose flush is to my pisser instead. No T on my stinger. I put my hose flush on my pump line in just before the mani with a Y.

Darcysign. That's awesome. I have the same head, f/a and I painted my pipe black. Please do share more about your water routing in a drawing or pic. I appreciate the pic it's just a little hard to see where the water goes from the head to pipe.

I found that I needed to restrict the water going out the pisser from the line on back of pipe to stinger. I also found that the red pipe likes lots of water for low end which is what I was after. I just had a trickle at that restricted pisser so I knew water was flowing. Never had a problem with heat on pipe and ADA head with that setup. Good luck. My 2 cents .

Not can do. Sold it for a factory pipe. I needed access to tightening head bolts without having to remove the pipe and engine. Plus, tired of it loosening up. I played with the water settings all summer let summer. Tried to dry it out for more rpm. I found the I lost the low end which made the ski more fun. Honestly, you could lose the pisser off the line from back of pipe to stinger for best low end. That pipe loves water for low end. Also a jetworks valve right before stinger helps to keep the water from building up in the water box during idle. I also used a jetworks restrictor control knob on line from pipe to stinger to see what the best setting was for low end. The setting is completely closed. Pipe never gets too hot. Good luck.
