Questions:

1. I see alot of guys running what looks like regular Motocross bars, opinions on bars please:

2. I have read a couple old threads about using a topside marine paint, like interlux, rustoleum, etc. I have watched a lot of videos on youtube about people doing whole boats with in using the roll and tip method. So thinking about trying that out just for the ease. Any thoughts of doing this? pros and cons? I do have a good air compressor in my garage and some experience painting, don't have my own paint gun, but if you think I should just spray it, any recommendations on equipment?

Got it stripped down, and cleaned out. Ready for sanding.

Probably still do some appliance epoxy white to the engine bay, to make it all one color.

I ran the ProTaper SE YZ Highs with a ~1.25" Powermadd riser when I had my blaster. I loved this setup but would have liked another inch or two of rise (I'm 6'2"). I had thought of running the pit bike bars too.

I would recommend spraying the paint instead of rolling it. I have a pretty nice gun if you need some help.

I would caution using MX bars on wifes unless you cut the width. The extra width works good for most guys but can really be a hindrance for most women when side mounting. Just something to think about so she don't yell at ya for F'ing up her B1 lol

Mikey, thanks for the offer. I certainly consider that. Gonna start sanding soon.

Nate that's way more work than I want to do :) maybe if we were riding surf I would but that things is plenty fun as is for flatwater.

wanderer good call. I was looking earlier and comparing widths and heights of blowsions runabout bars and mx bars. I know when I ride it, I just want some more height. I'm 5'10" and the wife is 5'8" ish.

I did the Interlux Topcoat with a roller once, it came out decent but if I had the option I would spray. It wasn't much less work to roll it and the finish didn't completely smooth out, it was a decent 5' paint job.

The black on this Laserjet is Interlux, there are some waterspots on it but you get the idea.

Thanks for posting. I am starting to think I should spray it. I was trying to keep it low cost, but if I am spending nearly $200 on some graphics, probably should put them on a nice painted surface.

I would spray on a cheap, single stage urethane before rolling on interlux, hell you can even spray the interlux if you want.

I wish my wife rode a blaster too, so I could find a use for this 8' pile of fiberglass in my garage and I wouldn't have to fight her off of my ski :)
