Super Jet Reed question

So I'm getting ready to move up to bigger carbs for my engine and I have a pair of 44's to use but no manifold yet. My question is, can I use my reeds off of my set of 38's for these 44's? The reeds are pretty mint VF2's so I would like to use those if I can. Also I'm wondering how much of a benefit dual 44's will be over 38's for my setup? Engine is a 62t/61x 781cc, ported cylinders, ported and epoxied cases, xscream bored b pipe, lightened flywheel, stock electronics, 170psi.

Agreed with @MTRHEAD on the reeds and manifold choice. I ran VF1s on a ported 64X manifold 15~20 years ago myself. Your VF2s are even better. Run them.

On carb performance, 44s will give you noticeably better throttle response all-around assuming they're dialed in properly. Shorter ride time on a tank will be the only downside.

Just trying to keep things cheaper since this will be a lower budget setup. Have two spare carbs just need to link them up and find a manifold. Kinda want something with a speed plate so tuning is easier.
