I have a hookup with a dealer.. (no I'm not over privileged, we give that dealer a deal on our business's stuff too.) . So it would be cheaper with new oem and cages than retail carbons pedals for me. And a set of perfect condition used oem reeds if I want for cheaper than 50$.

Ended up not going through with the high tension techs.

So far I know that my dealer can get boyesen and carbon techs. I'm not sure of the other brands out there.
What are the absolute best reeds for a 61x then?

okay, here is the real story. nick said the high tention 4 petal reeds were designed for running dual 44 carbs only. he said since the 61x cases suck, that was the only reed that worked. the LT were for everything else. sell them to the guy that wants his dual carb 61x motor to run the best it can.

While all the reed experts are here, what about the Boyesen Pro series vs High performance Pro series reeds for a 61x single carb?

I can not compare reeds, but as I stated the boyesens are great. I can't agree with 61x cases "sucking". Maybe for a 800, 61x cases won't handle it. But for 701-750cc's or so, they're perfect. I would recommend boyesen, just because I know they're good

these are your options from boyesen for a 61x case like a waveblaster. the 2 carbon reeds are the same price, but says they high performance ones are for higher modified skis/ race engines. SO, that would lead me to believe they are high tension and for top end. call them and ask, but i think your best bet are the standard pro series, which is what i have
