Well when I got my wet jet intake, it had no reeds so if I have to buy some, I may as well get something better than fatigue--prone stickers.

They are all fatigue prone, but the a/m reeds wont damage anything or as much when they break loose.

I wouldnt replace the reeds unless they do not function. carbon or metal...it will all do the same damage considering you will do all necessary repairs "while youre in there" even a small scratch on a cylinder wall ends up being the same cost as a piston failure. In certain circumstances...such as lack of reeds...oh yeah...im buying the best. Carbon hasnt impressed me though. .000001% of the engines out there are running carbon reeds. I dont trust the epoxy flexing the amount of times loaded steel can.

I run a 61x/61x Jetmaniac motor. I went with carbon reeds, since the intake was apart when it was shipped to me. I noticed a snappier throttle. I did not go with a lightened flywheel at the time but I think carbon reeds and lightened flywheel together would be a good upgrade regardless.

im running carbon reeds. I got a thread below this one asking anyone if they can identify them. so far no no luck. wish someone could tell me what kind of reeds they are. OP I wouldn't spend too much energy or money on reeds. just get some good petals and call it a day.
