I was joking I have no idea what back surgery costs… you know how it is… hospital charges 45 dollars for an aspirin and insurance is like “we’ll give you 3 cents.” Hospital says deal.

Anyhow, bummer about the tool.

I made those back in the day.........I may still have a few........this is the first one i have had heard with thread issues. The threads are cut vs rolled so yes they are tight. Yes i used the none foulers from the auto store and have equipment to press on the stainless balls and coated stainless cable. The eye bolt idea works as well but you have to round the nut and becareful i have had some lock in the head from the nut shifting.

Mat PM me your address and i will mail out another if i have one. If you ave an old tsock head try it on that first as i do recall them being tight.
Well that is very cool of you! I could not remember where I got it.

I have several heads and old domes and I tried it them all....waaaay to tight and will clearly damage the threads if one were to try and force it.
