Super Jet removing drive coupler off mid shaft

take it out of the ski and use jetmaniac's tool (or make your own from an old driveshaft).

I can't think of any way to reliably and safely do it while it's in the ski, since the midshaft is hollow.
 
Take it out and use a bench vise + heat + penetrant. No tool necessary on the midshaft side. JMs cold fusion fly locker tool works great on the crank snout side without pulling the motor.
