Super Jet Removing stock 38 factory brass plugs....Best way?

Location

It's been awhile, but if I remember correctly I drilled a small hole, threaded a screw in the hole and put vice grips on the screw and pulled it out.

I just installed some to get rid of choke shaft and the whole time I was thinking how I would not want to have to remove them. Were not easy to get in..I think what Baja said is your only option unless you keep going up in drill bit size until it’s thin enough to dig out.

They are not that bad. Drill a small hole, use an eze-out on a T handle, they spin right out with a little twist and tug
just be careful when you drill the hole, that you don't push thru hard enough you damage the adjuster screw below the plug.

You can use a sheet metal screw but I prefer to drill and tap the plug for an 8-32 if you have a tap. Find some washers that will sit against the carb body but the plug will fit through the hole. Stack a few washers and use side cutters/dikes under the screw head and pry against the washers. Pry it up a little, add washers, pry, etc. it'll pull right out.

The stack of washers is what I did, too, though I twisted the screw and since the head was unable to move, the threads pulled the plug up. Choose length and washer stack accordingly. Same basic idea. Works like a charm.
