Repair Shop: Dallas Texas

Does anyone have a recommendation for a repair shop in Dallas, TX area that has experience working on modified skis?

I am getting ready to start my second rebuild on a 2009 Superjet with a 760 big bore set up and have not isolated the reason for my second set of blown pistons this summer.

I may need a little hands-on trouble shooting before I go through the expense/time of a second rebuild.

Did you replace the crank seals when you rebuilt it?

I flushed the crank.
Replaced the crank seals.
Rehoned cylinders.
New pistons.
Rebuilt both carbs.

Back piston has the majority of the damage. This is the same piston that went out before the rebuild. Most damage is by the exhaust port side of the piston dome:
A. Too low octane gas? run 93
B. Too high compression? after rebuild compression approx 190
C. Slight air leak? Not sure. Replaced crank seals during rebuild.
D. Too lean carb settings? Not sure. Was trying to dial in carb after rebuild. Settings prior to rebuild: low jet 72.5, high 135, pop off 48psi

Krenn knows his stuff, I'd recommend him as well.

As for your issues, sounds like you should've pressure tested your motor and carbs after you rebuilt. A piston with most of the damage next to the exhaust port is indication of a lean/detonation condition. You were roasting your piston and sending it out the exhaust.

I pressure tested the carbs during rebuild.

Replaced crank seals, but definitely should have pressure checked engine too.

I spoke with Tim Judge at Judge Motorsports in Dallas, but he is at least a month out since he is building race machines currently. Anyone had Tim Judge do work for them?

I'll try reaching out to Krenn this afternoon as well.
