replacement ring gears

bump for the same question

I have a 96 dual carb blaster that the factor ring gear is showing wear

I can't budget for an aftermarket light weight, so my best option is to just replace the ring gear if it is available

I searched for a good 1/2 hour scouring this forum and can't find any answers. this is the closest thread that I could find, and nobody answered his question back in 2006. So I don't know if there is little info out there, but I figure it is worth bringing up the topic again

Unless you're having it custom made, you're not going to buy a new ring gear. Having one made would be more expensive than a good condition used flywheel.

last time i checked, the dealers had the ring gears available.only caveat is they are usually attached to a flywheel.
heck, even the aftermarket has a hard time selling you a replacement ring.
