Surfriding Resin reliability question!!

I was looking on the is composites website and they have an epoxy resin gallon kit and it is about $30 less than the west epoxy resin kit. Is the us composites resin just as durable as the west system or is it better to spend the extra $30 now and save a huge headache and disappointment later. Not tryin to be a cheap ass on my build but I'm tryin to save money anywhere i can.

I just used up all mine of the 4:1 us composites resin and no complaints. I have only used that and TAP and havent tried west systems to compare.

I have a great supplier for resin here in Michigan that has several different blends available for different applications that require certain characteristics (heat deflection, tensile strength, flexural strength, pot life, etc.) It is the same company that Roush uses for supplying composite materials. They have been very helpful and have provided me good pricing. Just an FYI for anyone interested.

I can't answer your question, but I believe West Systems is a West Marine brand. The Westmarine says two things... High quality and high price. Yeah, they don't sell much junk so you can count on most of their stuff being pretty good, but you can also count on paying twice the price for the same quality.
