Resurrecting the first Chan (super budget)

She rips. Definitely gonna be a major improvement. Need a few small things still to be perfect. I want the spacer that goes in front of hone. Ride plate on the pump shoe. I want a limiting rope. And I need to dial the carbs a little bit. All in all it was a good first ride. Rode prob 3.5 gallons through it. The motor is fresh and I wanna pull the head before I put too much time on it.

Loving the ski tho. Gonna be riding a hell of a lot more now. Stoked!!!!!

Been riding a ton lately. Learned 180s and nose stabs again. Alot bigger now. Starting to,learn rolls, it's crazy cause how high it jumps.

Yesterday I flopped backwards and rode away and it choked for a second and I was tired so I just fell over and let it die. Trying to restart it cranked slow, like the battery was dead. I charged the battery same symptom. I changed the starter and ground cable with known good. Same symptom. It just cranks slow or not at all, like a dead battery. Next is to pull the ebox and check the relay. Anyone else got suggestions?

I an spin it over by hand so I know it's not locked up.

Lol I forgot to try that. My dumbass even put the exhaust all back together before I tested it. I'm gonna go pull it off again in a bit. You have seen a bendix cause it to turn slow?

I haven't ran into this issue *yet* but that is where i would start. :)

I've had horrible luck with Yamaha starting system. From the switch to the starter. Is the only thing I deem unreliable about their skis. You pretty much gotta buy new oem if you don't wanna have to mess with it for years. But who has 500+ bucks for all that.

Why the hell does it want to correct years into yeasts?? I hate ipads

Well, don't buy a cyclotron battery from interstate. They will be perfectly fine all day and thenjust kill themselves out of nowhere. I found out it was showing a good charge until a load was placed on it. I would only get about 11.8 to the starter. The battery is junk. New battery and fired right up. Weird. I've never had a battery just bite the dust like at out of nowhere. O well, live and learn, at
At I'm back to ridin again
