I will say this because I have seen it over the years, the guys that chase then newest flashiest ski around are the guys that get out of the sport quickly and stay out , take that for whatever it is worth. Rickter has been around a minute , I have never heard much negative stuff about their hulls because they are a quality product .

Is there a no BS version of this story for what happened here with Rickter exit, the rise of Rise, resurrection of Rickter, and why they are building the same skis now?
Pretty much Rick and VK had a falling out......... I have my theory.............. VK was more focused in creating his Hyperion Race Hull and not focusing on Rickter Hull Construction.............. They had a falling out. Pierre approached VK and said, Build me hulls, change them a little and boom.............. Rise was born..........

You’re the Big Kahuna

I know nothing about you aside from you spend your time managing this forum which seems to me like the last bastion for people who are involved in jetski’s as a sport aside from all the morons at PWC forum. You know what’s going on and that’s important.

Has anyone asked the @Big Kahuna what he thinks this sport or community needs to move forward?

If I was going to invest in the ski industry I would ask you first @Big Kahuna

What would you do to inject life into this sport?

Were you able to track the molds down? I have a badass -4.3 and I'll say it's the best all around ski I've ridden. Thats just my personal opinion. I'm by no means a great rider but I can just do things especially in the waves on it that I've never been able to do on anything else. It just recovers soo well and never pearls.

A guy named Adam Michael has the molds (https://www.instagram.com/diamondperformanceski?igsh=ZGF0ZHdkd2doMGNl)

He's been working on and off about getting them back into action.

I wasn't able to make it out to WF this year. So, for those that got to see the new Rickter hulls in person. What's the verdict? Any quality differences from before or how do they look? I'm not that fond of the graphics, but maybe I'm the odd one out.

saw several pics, It looks like they blended the graphics from the last few years with the ones around 2015-16.

they were top notch as far as I can tell

Did anyone see who the dealers are going to be? I feel like they said new dealers for 25
I wouldn't be surprised if one or more dealers burned their bridge with Rickter, but I bet they'll be able to be ordered through Hot Products. My bet is they produce enough to have quite a few in inventory in the US, and will be easy to order by most places. By this time next year there will be a lot more options, inventory, and prices will come down.

aggreed. I’m thinking the the old dealers that took on Rise will no longer be dealers.

This was the update I got from blowsion about the edge.

"Thank you for your inquiry. Your timing is good as I just returned last night from the Jetski World Championships in Lake Havasu City where I spent a week with the owner of Rickter and viewing the new 2025 hulls. Hulls will be in production shortly for customers. The Edge is unchanged from previous model. They will come with all now graphics, however. Lay-up will be the same as prior, we will have a surf/rec version, lightweight composite and carbon versions as well. We should be able to announce pricing by the end of the month and are currently accepting $1000.00 refundable deposits which gets you a place in line as soon as they begin accepting orders."

I don't think this will be the outcome.. Dealers HAD to sell something, they are just dealers and builders, not selling something because of drama wouldn't be good business sense and could put many out of business. Now that Rick is back, I assume they will all go back to rickter or maybe carry both. If it was closed down for a few months, that would be different, but it was quite a while.

I have a feeling that if there is a former dealer that is pushing Rise, They may want to sell Rickters, but I have a feeling that Rick will not want to deal with them.

The only dealer that won’t be selling rickters is probably going to be tc freeride. Unless he orders them through hot products. I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure any hot products dealer can order standard graphic and hull rickters.

I know of one dealer that picked up RISE and now has gone back to Rickter. (Not selling RISE anymore)

So if your a Rickter dealer you can't sell rise hulls or vis a versa?
This Rickter dealer is also a sponsored rider which would be another reason to not sell rise hulls

I would guess Rick is not going to want to deal with a dealer who is a dealer for RISE also...... I know I would not.
