The width is about the same at the front, the bars are a bit higher on the reaper, and the back of the mx1 is wider

My understanding is its more the size of a rockered Blaster also. Based on the videos and what I've read, it looks like a fun hull.

Did anyone get to test the MX1 Taylor had at Daytona?

Yes! Pretty sick! Just my opinion. But I think it's the ultimate blaster. Shreds and carves like a blaster, but has all the rockering and hull for a flip. The 701 flips in the surf easily with right rider(not me). But also can flat water flip with the right motor. Super stable so anyone can get on it and ride surf or or freestyle on a flat lake. Seems to do it all. I would have rather gotten comfortable on flatwater first , but just shows how easy it is to ride. Very surprised how a 701 in it was plenty for I'd say most riders. Pretty much all the clips and shots u see are with the 701 in it. I'm a huge rickter fan and this will be my 3rd one so I'm a little biased. But, I've been hunting for the ultimate blaster for years. Rockered, 1100 u name it I've entertained it. Glad this came out before I found one, cause it would be up for sale right now.

Sneds, I see you had a blaster and HX. I had both in 1995 and two more blasters recently. So, we are definitely on the same page as what we are looking for. MX1 is a great combo of the best of both. Just much more stable for getting on and essentially a Freeride/style in one. I think thats best way to describe. A 2017 blaster if Yamaha continued to progress and move the technology forward for last 20 years with doing a backie in mind.

Sound like mine is leaving factory in April! So if anyone wants one thats probably next container leaving. Unless you want to fly it in $$$$$.
