Rickter Raw Build!

Neat - I thought they all had the footholds in them - that looks kinda / sorta like a SJ tray - is it wider than stock SJ? It looks like a really strong hull. That design was good. My buddy had one and it took a beating (rock hits, beaching, hitch hauler slid off on road etc etc) kept going no sweat.

I didn’t take measurements but I would say it’s around 2 maybe 3 inches wider then a SJ?

So I’m going to try to run the pipe I had on my SJ but I’m pretty sure it won’t fit. It’s pretty big ;)

Anyone know of a b pipe for sale? Or possible trade?

Update:

RRP Pole bracket went on incredibly smooth!

155 pump shoe... no problem

Pump took a little grinding but bolted up better than expected! See pics

Everything was going so perfect and easy, I knew I would run into trouble soon. Sure enough my pipe isn’t going to fit. I could cut out some of the bulkhead and re-glass it but it’s a brand new hull so I would rather not. I really need help finding a B Pipe. I’ve spent all my money on this build so it needs to be cheap. Or....... I’d be willing to trade my Riva pipe and a clean 550sx for a b pipe! Any takers?

Calling it a night. Motor is shimmed and bolted in along with the electronics. I got some of the turf done too. The ski is slowly coming along

Does your pump stick out that far? It’s extra backflip power but I’m afraid I’m going to hit it if I fall off
My modified riva ally nozzle sticks out about that far , my stock 62t plastic nozzle sticks out by memory about 1.5 inches, I’m running the 08+ fixed trim ring set up because I like the bit of trim up it gives you, keeps the nose up a bit so it rides on the back of the hull , then with body movements forward you can dig the front in (all personal preference I guess) as you ride your hull more and more and muck around with setup you’ll get to know what you like , getting back to nozzle, I like the longer nozzle in small surf because it gives the tail a crazy whip effect, makes small wave barrel rolls a breeze and 360 flat spins , I’ve had my long nozzle on an off for years and never hit it with my body, just be very careful doing big re-entries off beach breaks , I’ve snapped it off a few times doing that , sorry about long message, I could talk all day about these hulls :)

Na I love it. I’ve never rode a aftermarket freestyle hull so the more info the better! I’ll try it long first then go from there. I also have a trim set up I may run, I haven’t decided yet.

Does anyone know if a bike brake cable is strong enough to handle the trim? I’ve heard some people run it, it just seems weak to me

Run a xscream trim system, setup right, it's the best and doesn't break the bank.

Are you implying your rickter is a freestyle hull? I would call it a freeride hull ;).

You really don’t need a full trim system with this hull , they flip super easy on the smallest of waves , not hating on other comments at all , when riding it with a shortish pole the hull rides and feels so small
