Rickter Registration - Arizona

Putting this to rest. I drove 4 hours north west to Needles, CA and registered in about 15 minutes at the CA DMV. Easy as pie. Arizona G&F ... what a joke. Why they need to make things so complicated is beyond me. I have my Hull ID. That's all that matters!

Not really much to say. It was quick. I walked in, said I wanted to register my kit pwc, completed their paperwork, had a receipt of assembled materials and parts in hand, paid the fee and was out the door in 15 minutes.

If you go in for a home built in CA it should be quite simple. If you have receipts, show them and list them on their form. If no receipt just tell them no paperwork. They have you make a statement of facts or something. I haven't had to ever show my ski. If they say to bring to CHP or to Coast guard ask to speak to someone else lol. Ive had one or two of these people, brought another person in and walked them through the process ive done in the past and usually not bad. They can do things in side all at once and get you on your way. They will give you a pink slip (year:0000 make:HomeBuilt), vin numbers and tell you to get tags made or to stamp into the vessel, and up to date tags so pretty much ready to hit the water an hour after you talk to someone.
