Surfriding Rickter Steering cable?

When I built my FS2 5.5years ago I used the Blowsion black heavy duty steering cable. It fit great, and has worked pretty good, but its starting to get tight and since I am redoing my steering I might put a new cable on. I checked blowsion and the cable is $170 with steering fittings. The Thrust cable is $145. Any other options out now? Or reviews for how either hold up vs the other?

I got a inexpensive HD steering cable from Honda East Toledo. Below is a link for a cable, OEM, I believe. I would call and ask for the HD version I had it for a while now.

I liked the Thrust Cable better than the Blowsion in my Fs2. For some reason I feel like the Blowsion was longer being that it was loomed up in my hull.

Always used OEM SJ 96-07 cables in my FR2 Evo but the Blowsion and other good AM cables are not available here meaning ordering from abroad.

OEM SJ cable is long enough for the FR2? I always thought with the longer pole tubes it was too short.

Good feedback. I feel the same way that the cable is just a bit too long, that it binds a little bit.

Super jet cable only works if your pole is really short. Like bars 3 inches in front of your hood latch short.

I've been using the blowsion cables but I'm having a hard time keeping the cable as smooth as I would like it. Nothing beats oem smooth.. I think I'm gonna go back to using an oem square nose cable

I've never had a problem and I wouldn't say I've got a short pole

A RN cable is too short but, a SN cable works well.

I think the issue was on the fr2 not the fr2 evo?
I would say mine hasn't much left though.

@Jet_jase don't you have an fr2 evo? That works with super jet cable because it's shorter. The regular fr2 needs a square nose cable

Yes I've the evo with a Round nose cable, does work but I wouldn't say I could have my pole much longer.

Oem squarenose is longer than round nose and fits no problem with where you have your pole set. Brand new oem for the win

So would a square cable fit my evo? I'm guessing so, Just asking as they are cheaper here i think. RN cables to buy are £125 ($180 roughly)....Yes parts are annoyingly more expensive over here.

Yes, SN cable is longer so if RN fits then SN fits for sure.
