Second scupper is on the side wall of the pump cavity, same side as the exhaust.

You can put the Valvle inside the hull at the beginning of the tubeHard to see unless the pump is removed.
It's the same as the rear scupper valve. No way could you replace it with a ball valve, not enough room.

I'm newish to the sport / fun. I am looking at getting an AM hull, and was strongly leaning toward Rickter (I mean just look at them). Anyways, need some advice. I ride 99.9% flatwater and maybe once or twice a year on the surf.
What hull? (I was leaning toward XFS)
Is year a big issue? (like SJ is there a year I should avoid?)
Should I transplant the 701 SJ then upgrade later? Or get a motor the first time around?
Any warnings / concerns before I get one?
