I know a 144mm pump fits in perfectly, could I run an oem Yamaha 155 pump in that ski? Would a 950cc motor be ok with a 155 pump? How about an 800cc?? Wondering about selling the solas mag and putting in something bigger, just dont know if its possible on a plug and play basis..

Thanks!

I don't know anything about Rickters cuz I've never had the chance to ride one or work on one but I can tell you that our PHP 898 rips a 155 pump no problem! So I would hope that your 950 would be just fine. Not sure if 800 would do it though.... And like I said I'm not familiar with Rickters but it mite be a huge pain in the ass to get a 155 in there and then the next question is there enough flow through the intake to feed the pump?

My new Hurricane has a special intake to feed the larger pump.

Just a lil help. Good luck with process!:)

Yeah, I can imagine the PHP pulls that pump easily. I heard the 2013 XFS have a different bottom (intake) which flows more, but this is a rumor to me not a fact. So 155mm pump in XFS is still a mystery...

Keep us posted if you end up doin it. We just modded a carbon Gen 3 Bob for a 155. Hope to test it in a few weeks.....weather pending

Cant see why it would be that big of a mess? You would have to modify the intake area to accomodate a 155 pump shoe. Is the pump tunnel shollower than an SJ? You can put a 155 OEM in an SJ with little effort.

its not plug and go like a 144 or a 148 on a 144 pump shoe. you need a bit of knowledge in layup carbon and how to use a sandpaper. Its just what some guys told me about the ninja. And my mecanic personnaly fit a 155pump in a fiberglass XFS and it take a couple of days.

gottchya. I guess I would need a test pump and see how it works out.. but not willing to mess with the hull really - customer of mine (his new ski after oem Sj2011) is a neewbie and he will get an awesome setup even with the 144 solas mag, I was just wondering how much hull modding it would take if any.. and whether to wait to go for that next season when he actually learns as he rides..155mm now -overkill (maybe?)..

I have heard that a 155 is worthless without an intake area big enough to load it and there are very few hulls made with that in mind. My Superfreak badass is a 148 max hull.

Jose at Rickter said the 2013 xfs's have a larger intake to fit and flow a 155 pump. Mine will be here in a month or so and I'll take some pics of the underside.

yeah, the question is whether those produced athe sm the end of 2012 have the same bottom as the "2013". I think it's better to go by hull numbers.. the current ones I've got are 361 and 362 or so...
