Can yu tell me if the midshaft spacer is necessary? Or will the OEM one (midshaft) work just fine?

They (midshaft housing spacer) are necessary due to the flat firewall
otherwise the midshafts inner bearing carrier will rub a groove in the firewall and driveline longevity will be reduced

ok so from what i understand from reading your thread and talking to badvinny, all you really need to put together the xfs if you have a superjet to part out is:

mid shaft spacer
pump shoe

im putting in a dasa 950 in mine along with a hole bunch of other goodies but i just want to make sure i dont have to wait on anything when the hull and motor come in. thanks the information would be greatly appreciated.

yes this is correct, the only other thing is the exhaust hose from the water box to the outlet needs some customizing. the rear outlet is really low

ok sorry to ask another question but i talked with rickter and they said the mid shaft spacer is only RECOMMENDED if you are running a behind fuel tank or if you want more weight on your front. what do you think of that. are you running the fuel tank infront or behind. thanks again.

The Dangerboy spacer saves the bulkhead.. You can install it just like it is, but over time the bulkhead gets damaged.

im not running a firewall tank, im just going with a jazz tank in the front.
but the cold fusion spacer is only $40, which isnt much money in the big scheme of things . alot cheaper than down time to repair damage.

BEAutiful man!!!! looks sooo goood. i just got another delay on my xfs not going to have it till september now!!!DELAYS ARE KILLing me. They told me that the hulls come with the midshaft extension now.

I think you are confusing the mid shaft spacer that we make, that goes behind the midshaft housing, with the 2 Coupler spacers used to move the mtr forward that are supplied by Rickter

the midshaft spacer does not move the motor, it saves damage to the firewall
