talked to a guy at the races saturday that had one. He was competing. He did not have very many nice things to say out it as far as quality goes. He even covered all reference to RRP up on it with duck tape.

In my opinion, your post is quick to judge by starting with the "talked to a guy" and "not much good to say about the quality", against someone who is quite respected in the sport and I am sure RRP would be very forthcoming with handling quality concerns on thier product. With no name and no actual details of the concerns listed, or even if he has yet to contact RRP about those concerns, I personally would think twice before making a post like that.

Really.... My post is pretty factual at least coming from a person who owns one. Where is yours. also, did you ever think that there may be a reason for not listing his name? Like he already has a 2nd XFS that is already 6 months late? And he is still trying to get some of these warranty issues worked out. Who am I to interfear with that process. My buddy asked him about his since my friend may be looking for one. He asked an opinion. The owner gave his on something that "He" owns. A ski that there are very few of at this point. How about Roo, he is basically rebuilding his from scratch due to it having "issues". From everything I have read about, RRP is no different than any other builder out there. He has issues. he is not building the hulls. A composite company is laying them up. I have been told it from the same factory that produces the Hydrospace hulls. great quality there. His billet products are produced by another company as well. Just because you design something that handles well does not mean that there are not issues to be dealt with. So tell me, how many XFS's have you seen? I personally could have spit on this particular one. Even saw with my own eyes black tape covering up every single reference to RRP. Why would someone do that to a XFS?

i have a XFS and it lovely , i also had an XFR ordered and paid for in full on dec 1st , i was told 8 - 10 weeks them another 6 weeks then 12 of may , on the 16 may i contacted them asking how is my build going and when would the complete ski be shipped , i got an email back saying its not done and they couldn't give me a dat then said if i did want to wait they would return my funds , i made a few calls to find out on things and emailed them back . asking why they hadn't contacted me and before when they new it wasn't going to be ready , why wait until i start looking for my ski to tell me they have no idea when it was to be ready . they still didn't tell me the reason why it was late but i fond out , if they had have sent me a curtsy mail saying this has happened things would have been a lot nicer .
i had my money returned in full and canceled my order
not the way i would run a business but i guess everyone has different ideas , any way i have 1 XFS and its awesome so im still happy :-}}

I will admit thier delivery dates have been crap, but in his defence, I was told RRP dropped their original builder and started his own fabrication facility which only got up and running around April. As for me, I am a Rickter dealer in Canada so I am probably biased, Kahuna I just didn't think you gave him anything to answer for in that post but bashing the quality with no details.

i didn't say anything about the quality , My XSF is perfect i cant fault it .

the only thing i said was it is un professional not let let your customers know whats happening with there order .

i will buy another Rickter , i have since then i brought an RC1 , but ill go through dealers like Taylor the guys in AUS or yourself
i wont buy direct again thats for sure .

Honesty is your best policy when you are delivering a product , if its going to be late tell the customer before there build date was due , thats not much to ask is it .
they moved from Cobra and started there own factory , with orders like they had they should not have stopped production at Cobra until there own factory was up and running with all the bugs ironed out ,

I didnt mean you Shane, and their pulling out of Cobra was probably a tough decision to make at that time with the XFS just being released. It's not my position to make up any excuses for RRP, so I am going to shut up now and just promise to take care of my customers the best I can! Kahuna I hope RRP gets your friends issues sorted whatever they are, Ride on!

This guy has already had footholds break out. Hull Cracked in a place or two.......... Honestly, most of the AM Hull builders have issues with their hulls. A buddy has a ROK and a Q8. The ROK he basically ended up reinforceing the entire inside of the motor compartment. Quality was not there. His Q8 is a tad better. If you squat down below the bond line and look from the rear. One sides bond line is about 1/4" while the other side is about 3 times as thick. If you look from rear to front, the bond line is actually very wavy. Poor Quality control and poor mold construction.

Honestly, the only AM hulls that I have seen that looked 100% top notch was Wamilton and Trinity. All the others. Function over Form (Looks)

I am happy to hear that Rickter's are epoxy resin now. I have a hard time believing the old ones were poly (correct me if I am wrong), so moving facilities was probably for the better. That 1 gallon reserve tank is sweet, I have a custom one on the sxr and that is the best investment ever, even if you have to add a fuel selector switch. That XFR is looking pretty sweet, might have to liquidate the BBR midsize pro and the big bike. I never thought I would say that.

I just pulled trigger on textreme xfs. A little delay just like my edge. I've said it in other posts u want the "best" or what u think is the best typically u wait. But, customer service is paramount. Keep me in the loop and I'm cool. I'll share whatever I can when I get it. Hopefully few more weeks. Before havasu and I'll be happy. Season is ending in northeast. From my understanding it was last xfs as of two months ago.

Hull was only about a week maybe 10 days late. Much better than last go around it was a lot longer. Unless u fly them in, you are at the mercy of the sea and ship. It was apparently the last xfs in stock then. I'd assume they have produced more since. I think I heard somewhere RRP makes two hulls a day, but I could be wrong. Just my experience. My edge, quality was amazing or wouldn't have bought another. Looking forward to same experience .
