I love my XFR! You can't chase boats. Way too much body english to keep it flat.(with a short ride plate). Well I shouldn't say you can't but it is very tiring trying to get back to boat. Yes a bit heavy but that makes it easier to ride. I can flatwater back flip with a DASA 850, dry pipe and stock ign. I can surf ride it but it does not slash very good for me. Would much rather have a longer boat for surf.(FR2 Evo 1 in the garage)
I can flatwater roll no problem and never even get my face wet. I love how clean I can roll it!! I can even ride on the hood. Oh and as Truerider said Quality is great!

My opinion it is a great amature flatwater hull cause it isn't as light!

you are the reason
Xfs stands for extreme freestyle hull. This hull is designed for flatwater tricks, a super fun hull everyday of the week. You wont get bored with it. With short plate it is super flickable. The glass hull is tiped on a scale just over a hundred with turf. I rode it in surf and would pick this over a superjet, eme, bob. You can get crazy high off a little waves but not too unstable in surf. Slides great. Now for the bad it doesnt chase boats very well over half throttle cause she is so short. This was my top ski i have ever owned.(costly purchase) but coming off a bob it stayed way nose down in comparison. To do a submarine with a short plate was almost impossible. I like to sub too. Still my top pick hull

If you have a good trim setup, I found that adjusting the steering nozzle attitude made huge gains in the high speed stability, only when slow or idling was the nose high. In the chop its a great handling hull and it would go faster without feeling like a yardsale was around the corner. Heavy yes, but never felt like I could break it.

Ive ridden a glass xfr a handful of times and enjoyed the ride but it was a bit heavy to my liking. I got the opportunity to build an Xfs ninja without ever riding one. Once i hopped on i fell in love. Although it isnt the lightest carbon hull out it sure didnt feel like it weighed 85lbs. The stability of this hull has left me mind blown and has exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Ive ridden a ton of hulls and have grown to the liking of flat water freestyle type hulls. Alot of them ive ridden are very "tippy" and if leaned too far to one side or the other they reach what i call a "point of no return" booting you off or forcing you to remount. This is the #1 thing that i cant stand with most hulls because kicking in the holds, getting them right, tipping the hull too far and getting booted gets tiring and annoying.
To me, the Ninja rides flat and stable enough to chase boats which is what i was looking for. I like the fact that you have a choice if you want it to dig in or slide while turning by simply throwing your weight around. Another pro to the hull is the "pop" off of a wave. The hull rides surprisingly flat but when you make your set wake and hit the trim, that nose comes right up so fast.
There is a reason these rickters cost so much and have such a good rep. They ride awesome.

Was it textreme or just carbon? One on the way. So very happy to hear your review!
