Great ski, amazing quality, little bit heavy
Was it textreme or just carbon? One on the way. So very happy to hear your review!Ive ridden a glass xfr a handful of times and enjoyed the ride but it was a bit heavy to my liking. I got the opportunity to build an Xfs ninja without ever riding one. Once i hopped on i fell in love. Although it isnt the lightest carbon hull out it sure didnt feel like it weighed 85lbs. The stability of this hull has left me mind blown and has exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Ive ridden a ton of hulls and have grown to the liking of flat water freestyle type hulls. Alot of them ive ridden are very "tippy" and if leaned too far to one side or the other they reach what i call a "point of no return" booting you off or forcing you to remount. This is the #1 thing that i cant stand with most hulls because kicking in the holds, getting them right, tipping the hull too far and getting booted gets tiring and annoying.
To me, the Ninja rides flat and stable enough to chase boats which is what i was looking for. I like the fact that you have a choice if you want it to dig in or slide while turning by simply throwing your weight around. Another pro to the hull is the "pop" off of a wave. The hull rides surprisingly flat but when you make your set wake and hit the trim, that nose comes right up so fast.
There is a reason these rickters cost so much and have such a good rep. They ride awesome.
Mine is a 2014 and heavy carbon. I would love to try the new textreme. Was it textreme or just carbon? One on the way. So very happy to hear your review!
