The AWA's member numbers are down. The added coverage of freeride events was supposed to help increase membership, and strength of the AWA.
They are fighting for our rights to ride, and us/freeriders here are letting them down. Sad.
Attacks on our rights are going to come under fire like never before over the next 4 years. If we dont unite and support those who are fighting for us, we deserve our fate.
Do the right thing and join the AWA. Show them you appreciate the freeride love Ride Magazine gives to us, and help fight the liberal hippies!

Actually we did...then we moved and I forgot to renew it. I just renewed it a few weeks ago so we may miss this issue.

Well I didn't even know it existed till today. I always had Splash or Watercraft World in the past but they just don't do enough coverage for Standups and then Splash went under.
I sure don't mind supporting the cause either.

I try to never let it lapse just from knowing what Chris Manthos (awa owner) goes thru on a weekly basis.
I have been member since 99 I think.
and I do 3 year memberships, so its less to do every year !

I renewed mine for 2 years at Daytona & the AWA and Ride have been BIG supportors of WaveDaze. Without them, we may not have even got a ride in Va. Beach. Can't wait to see the article on Daytona!

There are yacht owners who don't want to share the lake with you and are targeting you... there are tree huggers who think that our jetskis are the ones causing the pollution in the waters. We all know it's BS.
