SXR Ride Plate

I am looking for some advice. I think I know the answer but just want a couple opinions. I have a stock 07 SXR. I ride on a lake. No ocean riding. I'm 260lbs. I'm not racing. Lots of jumping off buddies ski boats. Carving and just recreational fun. The lake gets very dead calm flat. The Ski does not like that. The nose plants and digs in and very hard to control. Couple inches of chop and it's a whole different ski. I'm looking to get rid of that front end digging in. My thought was to get a Blowsion D cut ride plate and hope it would solve my issue. But i don't want the ski to slide out that easy either. I can get it to kick out already very easily. Is this my best choice for a ride plate or should I just go for a shorter ride plate then stock? Blowsion has a mid size plate??

if you get a d cut plate you will slide out easier., which you said you dont want. if you get any other aftermarket plate it will add even more nose pressure because they are longer, which you also said you dont want.

my advice, learn to cope with the stock one. it works really well and if you keep having consistent nose pressure issues i would start looking for the solution elsewhere rather than the rideplate.

Work on your body position in the tray. When the lake is calm, put more weight at the rear of the ski. This will help keep the nose from grabbing to much. When rougher, you need to put your weight forward to dig in the nose. I have a 07 as well and I understand what you are talking about on glass. I have tried the shorter plates, longer plates etc. I am back to stock for carving and stock dcut for playing.
