Hello all,
My friend just picked up a mint 2010 800 SXR, completely stock except for the intake and ride plate. It came with the Worx 222 grate and Worx 311 ride plate.
We're both used to riding modified 750 Sxi Pro's with the Worx 306 or R&D extended ride plate and are brand new to the 800 SXR platform. Obviously totally different handling skis.
The 800 SXR with the Worx 311 seemed to be glued to the water, none of the nose bounce we're used to on the 750's, but it was also almost impossible to jump a wake or slide the rear end. The ski also seemed to "wobble" left and right at lower speeds. I'm guessing the Worx 311 plate in the ultimate buoy racing plate but he's looking for something more playful for free riding, jumping boat wakes, jumping waves in Lake Michigan, etc... An all around ride vs one tailored to carving buoys.
Looking for recommendations and suggestions from anyone with 800 SXR experience on the best plate to use for his type of riding.
Thanks in advance for your input!
