Rides: Jerzey Rager 07?

Not sure where this thread belongs but what happened to it?

I saw the bickering over it not happening and what not, but why the removal.... :dunno:

Just trying to keep tabs if there is an "informal" ride that would be taking it's place around that same timeframe.

I moved the threads into General.

There is no 'Jersey Rager' this year that I can tell right now, so no need for a forum for it.

Informal rides are normally organized in the Riding Groups forum or Events.

The town wont permit the ride to happen anymroe without insurance and a permit. Amherst was the one trying to organize it and she said insurance was near the 7k area and every spot she checked into required it.

On a plus side, I think Pete and some of the guys are trying to get an informal ride together in the the Barnegat Light area.

hey, ur going to miss Ron and Robin's annual end of summer party September 1st... Last year was insane as i recall.

how did aj do a race there there was no way he raised 7k at that race site this year

I dont think you will find a promoter in the country that covers their expenses from entry fees.

Average turnout is about 75 entrys at $75.00 each = $5625.00

The balance comes from the promoters drumming up sponsorship for the events............


I think the average cost of an event is up to about $12,000.00

AJ's race was also not on the ocean this year at seaside it was in the cove. and AJ has sponsors that cover a large chunk of his costs
