Riding Buoys - Kalamazoo - Saturday 9/8

Hey All,

Me and a couple buddys are going to be riding buoys on Gourdneck Lake on the south side of Portage (Kalamazoo) on Saturday around 12:30 - 1:00 PM until we get so tired we can't stand up! Gourdneck Lake is a 236 acre private lake so we shouldn't have to worry about a bunch of traffic and crazy morons and it should be a great time.

We're located about 2 hours from Detroit, Chicago, and Fort Wayne (IN)... an hour from South Bend, Angola, and Coldwater... and 45 minutes from Grand Rapids, South Haven, and Lansing.

Anyone that wants to come ride is more than welcome! Here's a map: MAP

I will try to make it. I will be pulling out the dock at the cottage in the morning unless i can find someone to help me earlier i should be able to make it out.

I most likely will be there........with my 6 buoys (in case yours haven't materialized!
Do you have a stopwatch?
We can do timed slalom runs (helps build racing skills).

Launch - launch ramp that you could launch up to 20' - 22' boat. Or just push the skis down there on the beach cart like I do.

Dock - About 100' dock with a nice size T on the end. Plus a nice 10' sqare raft.

Beach facilities - Well... none right there, perse... but my house is a 2 minute walk if someone needs to "drop the kids off at the pool" :bigok:

Planning on setting up the buoys straight out from the dock that way we can ride and come back in and rest as we feel like it.

I might be out. I have to take the dock out this weekend. Only weekend that i will have help up in lake city. If i can get back in time i'll be there. This sucks.
