Riding critique - 360 flat spin / getting more inverted

Hi, I have been trying to get 360s and trying getting more inverted but i feel like I am approaching the wake too slow/less of a pre hop ? Also need to lean over the side more ? Please see video below and do not hold back. CRITIQUE ME lol

ski is a rickter xfr with a 718, b pipe with a 144 prop cutback etc

I generally have no one who rides with me so figuring out stuff on here is it!

I think you're on the right track :) A little more height and you should be good. Other than that you're definitely looking good. I'm with you on not having anyone to ride with. The only guy that was more advanced in freestyle than me was on an EME hull doing backflips but he did barrel roll an old SXR800 which was impressive. We parted ways though and if he's still around on here I wish him all the best. He moved onto side by sides and I think sold his ski off. Since then it has been only me teaching me and trying to get my mind into the knowledge base here and on the Blowsion tip tricks dvd... I'm still a novice on many levels lol. It's not easy but you're doing well from one novice to another :)

Looking good. The easy answer is more power!

My advice would to be more aggressive with your approach. In the video your approach looks perfect for a backflip but, then you spin. Try for the same sized setup wake but hop into it with more speed and whip that thing as hard as you can.

I had a glass XFR back in the day with a little bigger setup and remember being disappointed with the power at first. I had been so used to riding cracked out setups that i had to change the way i rode that particular ski. Once i became more aggressive and attacked the setup wake, that ski came alive. I had more fun that day doing flatwater nose stabs than freestyle.

My XFR spins ok but it’s heavy. I’ve got a lot more power and still struggle sometimes to get clean tail up spins. Couple things to try, more speed, prehop left if you are spinning right, use half trim on spin, steeper prehop. Power is going to be a problem for the type of spins you want to do

Listen to @SmittySX ; from my perspective as a non-freestyle guy but loves waves and freeriding flatspins are the best trick. It shows control because you aren't going upside down. Upside down stuff all starts the same way but flat spins are different. To do it clean you need to stay flat.

From what I can see based on the video you hit your wake at the right moment but there is no "pre-load" that transfers the torque you make the opposite way on your attack step. Maybe work on the pre load angle right before your final brap to air to get the most efficiency out of your body English .

Looks good for a 718 power plant, hard to give advice when i am spoiled with a great hull and 900cc. But, maybe drop in with bars slightly oposite the direction you plan to rotate. One thing i learned to get more height is to wait until very LAST second off top of wake to WHIP the bars and look back over your shoulder at horizon, never look at nose of the ski.

You could always buy a Raptor Trim. Although then your problem would likely be figuring out how to not over rotate. lol Before getting mine I'll admit I was a little skeptical and didn't believe that simply switching from a Thrust trim to the Raptor would make all that much difference. But then on my first ride, I went out and tried a simple nose stab, only to find I ended up doing closer to a 540. LMAO
