riding in Jacksonville FL

i will be just outside of jacksonville at Camp Blanding starting this coming monday for three weeks for some army training. thinking of bringing the ski...the question is would anyone from that area like to get together on the weekends and ride? prefer surf but willing to ride lakes, rivers, anything. pretty sure at this training i get the weekends and nights off. if anyone wants to ride let me know. thanks.

If I were you I'd drive the hour and a half to St Auggie and get some good surf. It's about the same distance from SW Orlando. Idok or Butti may chime in to give you heads up. Cool crew up there though.

I work at Camp Blanding and ride a couple times a week out here. If your comming out here for training, someone from your unit will probably be hitting me up for stuff because they forgot to bring what they need.:shooter3:
Anyway, I'm the only person with a stand up out here so if you want to ride hit me up. I will bring my ski probably tomorrow or Friday and ride after work. Maybe Saturday as well. Been trying to get to St Augustine but Sundays are bad for me.

Been living in Starke most of my life (which is something I'm not real proud of) but yes, slow down or you will get a ticket. Slow down thru Lawtey as well.

oh yea, forgot about Lawtey. I never got a ticket in either one, but saw plenty of ppl get pulled over.

Didn't there used to be a sign in Starke "speed trap capital of the USA" or something similar?

Yep, they were put up by AAA. Both north and south of town on US301. I think it's hilarious. Lawtey is by far the worst speed trap. And this is comming from an ex deputy from Starke.
