Freestyle Riding shoes?

Hey guys im lookin into getting a good pair of riding shoes. I was lookin at the asic wrestling shoes, are there any recomendations or reviews on which shoes have worked for you? Or any shoe you would recomend?

Opinions differ quite a bit. From personal experience, Chuck Taylor's have metal eyes around the laces, and if they get bent, they will tear your turf to peices when you kick into the footholds. Go with Adidas Vaporspeeds.

I had the jet pilot boots. they didnt last 5 rides before falling apart. now I use adidas hiking shoes with booties from the jet pilots. love em, they grab the turf awesome and drain quickly to stay light.

I use asic wrestling shoes then I 3m spray glue a small piece of 8mm turf pad the size of the tounge to the bottom of the tounge between the top of your foot and the tounge. This eliminates any sorness cause by footholds to the top of ur foot at least for me good luck man!

would wearing shoes help me at all? i dont have footholds (yet lol) and ride freshwater, so not worries about reef and whatnot.

Yes, not required but they will help you stay in the tray a little better and maybe save your ankles.

I just started riding last spring, and turf and my adidas wrestling shoes really helped me out. I dont like not wearing them anymore for fear of breaking my toes. Just feels better to me.
