Rifles

I didn't want to mess up the handgun talk with my question so here is a thread for rifle talk. have at it.

I would like some opinions on the new arx100 that beretta put out from those of you who have had a chance to shoot one. Here is the article that introduced me to this gun (edit: cant get the link to work). Now I know you AR-15 guys feel obligated to hate these on principle but I'm intrigued. I've been wanting to get my first AR for a while now, but after seeing this I'm thinking about getting one of these. Thoughts?

WTH, I google arx100 and its like the 2nd link down. I click on it and it works. I copy the link and it doesn't lol. anyway, if you aren't familiar with it google "arx100 the citizen soldier". It was a review published by guns and ammo.

Wow, and after I actually attempted to help give you legitimate advice on your threads when everyone else just insulted you....
that's fair but how do you know i don't have meaningful input or interest on this topic? i am a jerk i will give you that but i know about more than just GoPeds

having said that i wont post more here, may just follow

I don't doubt that you may have some meaningful input, but that response was not it. I could use some advice on my question from someone more experienced than me. If you fit the bill then I would greatly appreciate some insight. I'm not here to insult.

Looks like a Scar. If you like it buy it. I would still go with an AR for the unlimited options and cheap prices.

The biggest selling point to me was that it could be easily taken apart without any tools and they said that the design improves reliability over the AR-15? Not sure how true it is but I also like the option of swapping out barrels to a different caliber in a matter of seconds. I have heard other rifles can do this too wit mods but that was a nice feature to come standard IMO. Just worried that being that it is a new product, the actual performance wont live up to the hype. super cool looking though regardless ;)

Get the AR. More proven parts and options. You can swap complete uppers to any caliber you want in a few seconds with out tools.

Got the line on some Aimpoint Comp M2's (new unissued with handling marks) for what I think is a reasonable $350 with QRP mount. If anyone is interested PM me. These are my choice FWIW and are setup to 1/3 co witness with AR mil spec sights.
