Anyone interested in a 1966 Winchester model 94 30-30 lever action, brass, dies, and bullets? Thinking about selling mine to fund my jetski addiction.

Thoughts on this upper?

A year later I still have my complete lower waiting for an upper. Hopefully after Christmas I will hopefully have some money floating around to finish building it.

If I could redo my ar purchase I would get a WOA or RRA 20" Natonal Match upper. Accurate/sub moa rifle out to 600 yards with irons that you can do high power matches with.

If you just want to plink get the cheapest upper you can find. And buy a wilson or krieger barrel for it. Www.Slickguns.com

For now it's for plinking and in the future some rifle courses. I also want the functionality of a SHTF gun and everything I have read says that the 20 inch barrels don't justify the extra weight and length for that scenario. I figured this upper will last me a long time being that it's chrome lined. Hell the free float8ng rail is 140 bucks alone. I figured it would be good enough for right now and If I get to the point later where a different barrel is needed I can buy one then.

Any suggestions on a good bolt carrier setup for 100

You could make a worse choice, especially for the money. Some are getting away from chrome lined and using other coatings. Its worked well for along time and there are plenty of 1 MOA or under chrome lined carbines out there (like RRA) so the chrome lined barrels are accurate. Gotta factor in $150 for good sights. BCG- spend a little more and get a Fail Zero or comparable, very important place to spend the money, not scrimp. Been extremely happy with the DS Arms FAL SA58 lineup. Just my opinion. Good luck and have fun. Joker clear your inbox.

slickguns.com There have been BCG's for under 50$ and complete uppers for under 200$. I had my BCG Micro slicked. (Same stuff they use on piston rings and high friction parts. etc.) I have an Eotech and 3x magnifier I might be selling if you are interested. It is nice because you can use it with irons. :)

I'm watching a TV show called combat rescue. The airforce PJs let them film them in war and like everyone on there has this setup.

You like those magnifiers? Seems to be a love/ hate with them ya know. No light?

Eye relief isn't great, but just have to take your time and mount it in the place. Have on shot it once at sun down amd a few times on cloudy winter days but haven't had any issues with it letting in enough light. Everyone I have let shoot it loves it. Put the dot on the target and you can't miss.

Maybe not pennies but a couple hundo. Might trade for a 45/70 lever action too.

I don't have one of those but if you willing to sit on it for a couple months I would probably take it off your hands. Plus it will give me time to get s9me skills with iron sights

sure looks like a good setup and a really nice price. Some say there is a difference between the 4140 and 4150 barrels. While I'm sure there is, longevity wise, most AR's see about 500rds so really don't matter. MPI testing is a plus, but probably batch tested, better than nothing. All the little things cost money mpi, shot peening, etc., and its questionable (and the subject of some hot debates) how much its needed. I spend the extra money for the testing not to be batch, but does it really matter? Upper looks like a lot of bang for the buck, pull the trigger on something and go have fun. Quinc- Havent tried a magnifier yet, just going off hearsay from friends.

Modified Saiga Kalashnikov action chambered in .223. It has been solid after the initial break in. Not going to win any marksmen contests with it. Parts and bolt ons are not as easy to get now since the import ban, but shouldn't need anything.

looks good bro. I just modded mine out after buying over Thanksgiving. I did the trigger relocation... the only thing I don't like about it is you have to run Saiga magazines or install a bullet guide to accept standard AK mags.

All it all, it's a fun gun though.

Mine is 7.62x39
