Last night the sport of PWC racing lost its #1 Fan, Nedra Attwood. She has been a fixture at World finals for as long as I can remember
She stood behind the starting line ringing her cowbell and screaming for All the racers and freestyers! She loved every last one of us!
I met Nedra early on, once I started racing worlds. She was always a highlight of my race week! When my Daughter Megan Raced Worlds, Nedra, met Megs in the pits early race week to wish her luck, kiss her boat ( Nedras tradition to wish racers a safe and lucky race) and made Megs rub the piece of dried up gum on her hat! ( again for good luck) Nedra always knew what racers were coming, and made it a point to go meet them and give them her special hug. Megs was amazed at the love Nedra put forth to her! That was just Nedra!
She truely was, PWC Racing #1 Fan! Rest Easy Nedra, you will be sorely missed! Havasu Worlds will never be the same without you ringing your Cow Bell!
For those of you that have been to Havasu, and met Nedra, please share your story below in this thread.
Ski ya, Paul
