Riser bar steering options

I'd go with a set up of the same make, therfore designed for each other. That said i do have a cold fusion steering system and Blowsion risers (Fat bar).

Is there anything else I need. Just the cold fusion turn plate and the bars and grips.
Thanks Craig.
As long as the UMI pole accepts OEM superjet steering (and bushings) that is all you need. You will likely need to modify the chinpad a bit to clear the bars at full lock and possibly modify your start stop switch to fit over the fat bars (depending on which ones you get).

Sorry I cannot answer that. You can just bolt this onto your existing UMI steering setup. If I had to take a guess, I would imagine UMI made their pole to only work with UMI (and UMI style) steering systems much like Xmetal does to force you into buying their parts.

This gets harder and more expensive every post. I don't know if umi excepts stock steering.
Thanks.
Umi does not use bushings it's a bearing system . If you buy a cold fusion system you will also need to purchase bushings but there cheap can't remember exact price though . Cold fusion sells everything you need to do this

I think he meant "I don't know if the UMI pole accepts stock steering".

It really comes down to cost and whether you prefer a bushing or bearing style steering system.

The Cold Fusion system is designed based on the stock bushing setup. You can use the nylon bushings from any OEM superjet steering from 1990-2015 SN or RN. Since you probably do not have the oem steering, then you can use the CF delrin bushings. The CF steering is simple, strong, and cost effective. The bushing steering has a certain feel to it that some prefer and while others prefer a bearing setup.

The UMI steering that you have now is a bearing design. The RRP steering is a well designed bearing setup that uses Fat Bars. Several other companies like ADA also make bearing steering for Fatbars as well.

The Fatbars are manufactured by RRP and Blowsion and are available in straight, 50mm, or 75mm riser options.

One other option is to just replace your UMI turnplate with the ADA fatbar turnplate.

We stock most steering systems, rebuild kits, and parts from ADA, Blowsion, Cold Fusion, RRP, and Thrust here:

I would imagine UMI made their pole to only work with UMI (and UMI style) steering systems much like Xmetal does to force you into buying their parts.

You can use stock or cold fusion steering on UMI poles that havent been modded over the years.

Xmetal adjustable poles were redesigned (at my suggestion) at least a year ago to include the 4 threaded holes so they now accept any steering based on the original UMI bolt pattern which includes RRP, Blowsion, and most other bearing steering systems on the market.

I am really a huge fan of the simplicity of a bushing steering system and I love that the Cold Fusion setup can run straight or riser bars. I like the XM adjustable pole but the fact that I had to modify it to work with the CF steering, made me go a different direction.
