Riserbars vs flat

Not necessarily true... your body position can be the same/lower, you will just have your arms bent.

like that?

your arms can only bend so much..look how tweaked my left elbow is in the first pic, i think im actually holding the bar end not the grip...sometimes on reentries if you get the ski upside down enough it will actually blow your hand off the bar ...w/o the riser bars you have another couple inches of room...i just dont see any advantage...and for the $ i think 99% of people would do better spending their money elsewhere and running what people have been using for 30 years...

I'm not seeing how you couldn't do that with riser bars. You're looking pretty hunched over in pic #2, maybe some riser bars would help the old back a bit. :tomato:

"running what people have been using for 30 years..." we'd all be on JS400's if we use that train of thought.

if i had riser bars my center of gravity would be 2" or whatever higher...

i raced downhill mountain bikes...when i first started riding in 2001 everybody ran 3" riser bars...look at a downhill bike now...guys are running either flat bars or very little rise...its all about a low COG

agreed that the $$ could be spend on something that would actually improve the handling of the boat.
risers bars must not get turned.

riser bars do allow for a greater thrusting motion during massive straitleg bar humps...that extra couple inches you gain without the cross bar really makes the trick look good if you ask me...
