Man those cases are beautiful and will run well.
measure the ports from the top of the cylinder and I can give you a basic idea of what the port timing is.
Dropping compression is fine you will lose power but you have to keep the squish tight. Spacing the cylinder opens up the squish and introduces detonation.
R&d pipe are a great pipe but does not have the throttle response of a b-pipe. you can get over that by using total loss.

Yeah man they are really nice. Definitely the nicest motor I've ever had! I really want to run it as all I would need is a crank and wrist-pin to get it back into shape. I paid a good amount for it, so I would definitely like to get it running in my B1 as a pump gas setup if possible.

Edit:
35.5 +- .5mm from top of cylinder to top of exhaust port 70.5 +- .5mm to bottom.

55 +- .5mm from the top of transfer ports and 72 +- .5mm to bottom

please recheck the figures.
The figures you gave me show up at 217 exhaust and 121 transfers.
Or close to it.
It may have been a stroker and the pistons run out the top of the head but even then its quite high in the exhaust

I checked again. I was off by 5mm on exhaust lol. (It was late)

Im getting weird numbers from what your measuing. I suspect this engine was once a stroker. It has very low transfer duration as a stock stroke engine

Really? The cylinders and cases look to be decked. The cylinders a lot

Do you want me to measure from where the port opening starts on the sleeve or the cylinder. The transfers are angled and it makes a 2+mm difference.

i love the way a blaster looks in black
  • Yeah, I like the way it looks so much that I don't want to wet sand it and buff it, but I did some touch ups with a brush and I found out Gelcoat doesn't flow. Now there are a bunch of spots that I have to literally grind down to get to the flat surface. It's like I put JB weld all over the thing and gave myself a ton of extra work!

I have decided that I am going to sell or part out this engine, and go in the direction of a stock tripple. I need to recoup at least a portion of what I paid for it. The crank is bad, but is standard so I listed the other stuff for sale. I can include a good used crank if Someone is interested in that.

All the prices are negotiable and include shipping to ConUS. I will create a dedicated listing for this stuff, but I'm just putting this up for any people who may be following this thread.

-Sleeved Ported 85.5mm 61X Cylinders with Flat top pistons and rings for $500

-Ported Cases with bed plates and hardware (some epoxy on the PTO intake needs to be reapplied due to peeling, but its really simple. I can do the work, but I need a prospective buyer first)$500

-Complete working multi Chanel MSD Total Loss with mounting plate for SJ $650. I also have an extra brain for this on another listing if anyone wants a spare.

-Flat Top Domes for Blowsion Head $100

This motor had a stock crank with rods that measure 125mm from center to center. Total cylinder height is 115mm.
