Wanted to bump this as I’m about to buy a B1 as a companion to my SJ. The one I’m planning to buy has some nice aftermarket parts on it, including a Riva red. It has a stock head on it but I have a girdled ADA to put on it from my previous 61x motor.
In reading this thread, it’s my understanding that I’ll need to get the bracket from ADA to run my spare ADA head with the Riva red. What I’m unclear on is this: to swap domes and/or pull the head, I have to remove the Riva red pipe completely? Is there enough room to loosen it and push aside to access the head and hardware or do you have to unbolt the motor? I ride at a lot of diff elevations from sea level to 5500 ft and swap domes frequently on my SJ and would do the same with the B1.
To swap domes or pull the head the thought of having to wrestle with the exhaust sounds like a huge pain in the ass. Especially considering how often I swap domes. My SJ has a B pipe so no worries there. I’m 90% committed to buying this thing but this topic really has me second guessing that.
Any input would be great!
