i have hear that some blasters with the red pipe some times their is a gasket that wheres out and lets smoke and soot out into the hull, has any one had that problem
There are two gaskets on the red pipes. 1 on the Manifold and another between head pipe and Chamber if either gasket blows out then you will get what you describe. There was a recent thread discussing where the red pipes fail and there were situations noted that both places had failed.
Mine had all the bolts vibrate loose where the main chamber bolts to the head pipe, and yes it made a mess. More impotantly, it came apart in some good surf and I got stuck in an outgoing tide. Thankfully one of my riding partners came to my rescue before I got too far out.
Use loctite and proper torque specs and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps.
sure.. get the B-pipe instead... the red pipe is going to rattle no matter what.Does anyone know where you can find a Riva 3 bolt flange exhaust manifold mine rattled loose like yours and is just too far gone ....would consider any replacement or repairable manifold ...any ideas??
