Riva Superjet Upgrade Kit

I am an average rider, can't do back flips or barrel rolls but am looking to get a ski with a little more power
I have been riding my 2017 primarily stock for 2 years but think its time to get a little more. I had a 2001 that was modified (can't remember what exactly) and it was a noticeably better ride.

I see that Riva has an upgrade kit for about $2500 bucks but it looks like it covers most of the mods everyone recommends

I'm not really works on car guy (I'm works on furnace/engineer guy) so couple questions

How difficult are some of these mods, most of it looks pretty easy bolt on stuff, but the pipe, ignition control.

Are these mods worth the money?

Will the ski be for the most part reliable, I hate to F-up essentially a brand new ski?

It all depends on what you want to do with the ski.
Most people here like the Limited chamber on the factory pipe instead of the mod chamber.
The air filters really aren't necessary especially in the surf.
The ride plate is going to be personal preference depending on the use.

The Riva kit isn't really saving you much money even if you were to buy all the parts individually.

The biggest bang for your buck is going to be the factory pipe so you might want to just start with that first then go from there. All you need to do for the pipe is change a few carb jets.

It is not difficult to put pipe one. you have 2 bolts you need to shorten. Everything is good in that kit except the Flame Arrestors (my opinion) . You may could source those parts separately for less money. You can order the pipe direct from FPP. Head and CDI from Jetmaniac, Thrust, P&P, Plus all the other parts from same suppliers... Personally, I would deal with these smaller companies vs a larger one like RIVA.

Post your goals. Biggest bang for the buck is going to be high compression head, and bpipe. You already have a great impeller for low end torque. And stock ride plate is the best for doing tricks and sliding around.

Just looked at some of pricing.. You can get everything on that list for a lot less if you go direct or through your local vendors here on the website.

Sweet, thanks guys, I may just pull the trigger and knock this out before summer really gets here. As far as goals, mainly just boat chasing and playing around. Once a weekend on Lake Michigan too.

I personally say that is a little over priced and some of those things you do not need.

With a head, pipe, and either an Enhancer or modded cdi(200$ cheaper option yet still good gains) , intake grate, having your flywheel lightened you will be more than happy. And be much under 2500$.
Pipe alone will make the biggest difference.

Piece it'll together, start with the pipe, it'll feel like a whole new ski. My stock motor backup SJ feels like a turd with stock exhaust

Also look at ride plates as that's a very rider specific item. For general ripping around I think the Jet Dynamics is the prefered plate not the one Riva has.
