RN Build "Daytona Or BUST"

I bought my first REAL stand up in july which was this beauty... It had wamilton footholds, 24/7 scupper , prop and intake grate. the ride season up here is over IMO.
Now ive been riding harder and daytona is coming! so heres the start of my build.

heres the pics to the start of my first build...

All torn down and Footholds cut out.....

Now time for the fun....

19 OZ carbon fiber from US composites and resin from them as well...

Borrowed a little bit of 4lbs foam for the seam and under the hood seal area to get a smooth look. Layed it all out and heres how she came out....

Picture017-1.jpg

As for the rest of the plans i have alot of carbon fiber left over... I plan to Not turf the front of the tray "the dash" and just have it carbon fiber for a cool look.

For footholds.. XFT for the win. I have a sweet paint scheme planned. simple and clean. i plan to match the motor to the exterior. the end result should be a show boat until the day it hits the water... then it will be used to how it is made to be :)

Plenty more to come... this is 3 days into the build.. not even

EDIT... OCTOBER 31st...

now i just have to get the fuel filler area PERFECT and ill be set to paint.

PAINT SCHEME:

In the front i chose GM Charcoal Met from a trailblazer which will have a sweet break up line and the back 2/3s of the ski will be a silver with crushed mirrors and prizms as a base coated with a Candy Julip green. its a candy green like no other. It looks sooo amazing. think house of color candy apple green but with a more flip flop from dk green to lime green with a silver pearl. it looks MINT. cant wait to spray it out.

heres a quick idea of the paint scheme with the break up and colors

looking good with the carbon fiber... now you'll just have to peel all that heavy fiberglass off the outside and you'll have a real ski.
