Rn pole conversion. opinions please

Hey guys just did my rn pole conversion would love opinions. I did not use the pole spring, kind of forgot about it so i just have the pole somewhat tight. Will this be an issue should i go back and put the spring on?

I have riden ski that way and didnt hate it but do prefer to have the spring I set mine up with the stock spring then tighten the bolt untill it stays where I put it with out dropping. the spring does most of the work but the snuggness just adds that little extra. Ive tryed it every way till sunday and that was I like the best.

Put the spring in, stock cast pole bottoms and pole mounts crack easily when the pole bolt is tightened like that.

it's not that tight surprisingly and i went with the purple because it stands out and i could not match the white or green. I think i may try it first though. thanks for the input. anything else i need to know about these poles??

Ya....Reinforce it where it connect to the brackets or you could brake it

how easily do these things break? like am i going to do a nose stab and end up breaking this thing off?

Definitely put the spring on. Lugging an unsprung pole will wear you out fast. My latest RN came with no spring, it was terrible to ride.

there's a vid on here where a guy did a nose stab and the pole pulled out of the lower mounting bracket.
i am just not sure the best way to reinforce the pole given that it's only a few rivots/screws that keep the pole to the mounting bracket.

it's got 1/4-20 stainless screws all the way around with big washers and everything. ok so anyone have a picture of how there spring is in. can't seem to figure out how the heck i am going to make this work.

Can you post some pictures of what you had to grind to make it work w/ a stock bracket?

i had the conversion bracket so i did not have to grind anything. find out where it is hitting and grind away on the pole

You have to grind a lot off the pole and the bracket. It made me really nervous and luckily I found my conversion bracket.

by the conversion bracket it will be worth it, it really beefy too well mine is haha.

On my last SN I grinded the hell out of the SN bracket, it wasnt pretty and I suggest just buying the conversion bracket. It would be well worth the time and aggravation. I do prefer to run the poles tight though instead of the spring. Puting a RN pole on my SN was my favorite mod. I plan on puting my shortened fx-1 pole on my wifes/my back up ski when I upgrade my fx1 with a xmetal pole, she says no, but im just gonna suprise her, lol.
